“ We had a wonderful experience here, an excellent introduction to Bavaria and Munich with excellent traditional food and drink. Our waitress Laura was patient and kind (and very helpful in English). She helped us to feel comfortable and welcome after a long day of travel! ”
“ Cute little restaurant in a quiet part of town. The food was absolutely delicious, beer was fantastic and the desserts! Heaven in mouth, literally. I’m gonna have a food coma for the rest of the day. Staff was also great, we had a lovely experience. ”
“ This was such a refreshing stop A beer garden by the gardens. Very welcoming and an efficient and helpful staff.... While walking the gardens head up here and check them out. ”
“ Stopped in for coffee and cake where we were served by Lara who was an amazing ray of sunshine on what was already a beautiful day. Wonderful atmosphere with that old world Munich charm accented everywhere in a quiet part of town just off the Isar River. Looking forward to a return for the food as that equally looked amazing. ”
“ Very friendly and helpful staff. Great outdoor seating, very cozy. Only had one classic Bavarian dish, so difficult to say if it's a 4 or a 5. But I would definitely choose this place again when visiting this part of Munich. ”
“ High quality food and service. The location is amazing at the edge of the English Garden. I’m not local, but the menu and the food felt authentic. It makes sense, as I’d guess most of the guests are Germans. Here you get what you expect from a Bavarian restaurant. Sauerkraut, sausages, pretzels, Wienerschnitzel, potato dumplings, brown sauce and beer. Not my favourite cuisine, but worth trying it in this restaurant! ”
“ A very beautiful Biergarten near Isar. We tried Münchner Fleischpflanzerl, which was basically meatballs filled with herbs and it came with a patato salad. It was so tasty. We also tried Hopfenbratwurst vom Strohschwein, again it came with a patato salad (you can also choose Sauerkraut) and mustard sauce, the sausages were extremely delicious I loved it. We also had beer and hugo spritz they were okay too. The portions were satisfying. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Service was also great we didn’t wait long while ordering and waiting for our food. Overall I highly recommend this place. ”
“ Great little spot on the park and out of the hustle and bustle. It feels pretty local and a bit nicer than a lot of the standard tourist areas. The food was expensive and generally unremarkable, but a good representation of Bavarian cuisine. The roast duck was notable. ”
